Overview
Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital has a large and highly skilled surgical team delivering a wide range of services including:
- ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat)
- Major Trauma
- Maxillofacial (OMFS)
- Ophthalmology
- Orthopaedics
- General Surgery & Urology
- Neurosurgery
- Plastic Surgery
Surgical Ward
Many children will receive their surgery at the Day Case Unit. This means that they will not require to stay overnight in the hospital either before or after their surgery. Children who are admitted as inpatients (i.e. staying overnight in hospital either before or after surgery) will be cared for in Surgical Ward or the High Dependency Unit.
